How to play

Every song in the daily set works the same way:

  1. Press play to hear a clip of the song — up to 30 seconds long.

  2. Pick the track from four options, each shown as “title — idol”. Tapping an option locks in your guess.

  3. Guessed wrong? The question ends right there — your pick is crossed out, the correct answer is revealed, and the song counts as a miss.

  4. Every song you name right counts as one — no speed bonus. Get all ten and you finish the day 10 / 10.

You can replay the clip as many times as you like before answering — but every question gives you exactly one guess.

Where do the share card's achievement captions come from?

They're real internet and Kpop fandom slang — written by fans over the years, not by AI. About aespa

aespa debuted on November 17, 2020 under SM Entertainment with the single "Black Mamba", as a four-member group — Karina, Giselle, Winter and Ningning. They were SM's first new girl group since Red Velvet in 2014, and the line-up has stayed the same ever since. Every era from debut onward is fair game in aespa Heardle.

Their concept is built around the idea of a virtual world called KWANGYA and a set of digital avatars — the "æ" in the name comes from "Avatar X Experience" joined with "aspect". Musically they are known for a bold, metallic, hyperpop-leaning sound, and they are often credited with helping push both the metaverse concept and that harder pop style into fourth-generation K-pop — a sound that makes aespa Heardle clips instantly recognisable.

The hits came quickly. "Black Mamba" set a record for the most-viewed K-pop group debut music video in 24 hours, "Next Level" won Song of the Year at the 2022 Korean Music Awards, and the "Savage" EP became their first entry on the Billboard 200. In 2024 "Supernova" spent eleven weeks at number one on Korea's Circle Digital Chart and swept Song of the Year honours at the year's major award shows. Every one of those hits sits in the aespa Heardle pool.

The catalogue itself is compact but dense. aespa have released the EPs "Savage" (October 2021), "Girls" (July 2022), "My World" (May 2023), "Drama" (November 2023) and "Whiplash" (October 2024), alongside the studio albums "Armageddon" (May 2024) and "Lemonade" (May 2026). "Girls" became the first album by a girl group to sell a million copies in a single week, which says something about how quickly the group scaled — and how deep aespa Heardle runs beyond the title tracks.

They have also pushed further into Western festival circuits than most of their generation. aespa played Coachella in April 2022, became the first K-pop group to perform at Governors Ball in June 2023 and at Outside Lands that August, and in August 2023 became the first K-pop artist to headline a solo concert at the Tokyo Dome. Earlier still, in November 2021, they were the first K-pop girl group to perform at Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade. Their touring runs "Synk: Hyper Line" (2023) and "Synk: Parallel Line" (2024–2025) carried the same worldbuilding onto the stage.

Internationally the group has moved through major label partnerships as well, signing with Warner Records in June 2022 and later working with Capitol. On the awards side they took Artist of the Year at the 36th Golden Disc Awards in 2022, and "Supernova" won Song of the Year at the 2024 MAMA Awards — bookends on a four-year run that turned a concept-heavy debut into a mainstream one.

Their fandom is called MY. This aespa Heardle mode is built for that dense, effects-heavy catalogue: press play, hear the opening of a track, and choose the right title from four aespa songs. Rounds deal ten at random and reveal each answer with album art — handy when the beat switches make the intros hard to place.

aespa Heardle FAQ

Quick answers on how aespa Heardle works — the song pool, the rules and your stats.

When did aespa debut and who are the members?

aespa debuted on November 17, 2020 under SM Entertainment with the single "Black Mamba". The four members are Karina, Giselle, Winter and Ningning, and the line-up has not changed since debut.

What does the name aespa mean?

The "æ" comes from "Avatar X Experience", combined with the word "aspect". It ties into aespa's concept of virtual avatars living in a digital world called KWANGYA.

What has aespa released?

The EPs "Savage" (2021), "Girls" (2022), "My World" (2023), "Drama" (2023) and "Whiplash" (2024), plus the studio albums "Armageddon" (2024) and "Lemonade" (2026), along with a run of standalone singles. "Girls" was the first girl group album to sell a million copies in one week. Most of those tracklists feed the aespa Heardle pool.

Where have aespa performed internationally?

They played Coachella in April 2022, were the first K-pop group at Governors Ball in June 2023 and at Outside Lands that August, and in August 2023 became the first K-pop artist to hold a solo concert at the Tokyo Dome. Their world tours are "Synk: Hyper Line" (2023) and "Synk: Parallel Line" (2024–2025).

What major awards have aespa won?

Artist of the Year at the 36th Golden Disc Awards in 2022, Song of the Year for "Next Level" at the 19th Korean Music Awards the same year, and Song of the Year for "Supernova" at the 2024 MAMA Awards — three of the most competitive categories in Korean music, spread across their first four years.

What is aespa's fandom called?

aespa's official fandom is named MY.

What is aespa's most famous song?

"Supernova" (2024) is their biggest hit — it spent eleven weeks at number one on Korea's Circle Digital Chart and won Song of the Year at several 2024 award shows. Earlier singles like "Next Level" and "Savage" were also major breakthroughs — all of them frequent aespa Heardle answers.

How many songs are in this aespa Heardle?

The aespa Heardle pool holds every aespa track that has a preview on Apple Music, spanning their singles, mini-albums and full albums. Each round is ten random songs. Solo releases by individual members are credited separately and are not part of this pool. Because the catalogue is compact, rounds move past the well-known title tracks into album cuts quickly — which is where the beat switches make things genuinely hard.

Why can aespa songs be hard to guess?

aespa lean on layered, glitchy production with sudden beat switches, so the first few seconds of one track can sound a lot like another. Listen for the main vocal hook and replay the aespa Heardle clip if you need to.

Does aespa Heardle affect my daily streak?

No — aespa Heardle runs on a separate tally and never touches your daily streak or stats.
