About BTS
BTS debuted on June 13, 2013 under the then-small Big Hit Entertainment (now BigHit Music, part of HYBE) with the single "No More Dream" from their debut album "2 Cool 4 Skool". The seven members — RM, Jin, SUGA, j-hope, Jimin, V and Jung Kook — began as a hip-hop-leaning group and grew into one of the biggest acts in the world. BTS Heardle spans that entire arc.
Their early records leaned on rap and social commentary, from "No More Dream" and "N.O" to the "school" and "Youth" trilogies. "Blood Sweat & Tears" (2016) gave them their first domestic number one, and "Spring Day" (2017) became one of the longest-charting Korean songs of its era. Both are classic BTS Heardle answers.
From 2018 they broke through globally: "Love Yourself: Tear" was the first Korean-language album to top the US Billboard 200, and the English-language singles "Dynamite" (2020) and "Butter" (2021) both debuted at number one on the Billboard Hot 100 — "Dynamite" making BTS the first all-South-Korean act to reach the top of that chart. They also earned the first Grammy nomination for a Korean act and addressed the UN General Assembly. Every one of those singles sits in the BTS Heardle pool.
The catalogue is genuinely large, which is why a BTS Heardle round can reach well past the hits. The Korean studio albums are "Dark & Wild" (2014), "Wings" (2016), "Love Yourself: Tear" (2018), "Map of the Soul: 7" (2020), "Be" (2020) and "Arirang" (2026), with the anthologies "Love Yourself: Answer" (2018) and "Proof" (2022) alongside them. Separately they built a Japanese discography — "Wake Up" (2014), "Youth" (2016), "Face Yourself" (2018) and "Map of the Soul: 7 – The Journey" (2020) — much of it Japanese-language versions of Korean songs.
Between 2022 and 2025 the group paused for South Korea's mandatory military service, enlisting one at a time: Jin from December 2022, J-Hope from April 2023, Suga from September 2023, and RM, V, Jimin and Jung Kook from December 2023. All seven had completed service by mid-2025 and the group reconvened on July 1 that year. The gap is visible in the release timeline, and it is also when most of the members' solo albums landed.
Their live records sit at a similar scale. The Love Yourself world tour in 2019 made BTS the first Asian and first non-English-speaking act to sell out both Wembley Stadium and the Rose Bowl, and by 2022 they were the most-awarded group in Billboard Music Awards history. The IFPI named them Global Recording Artist of the Year in both 2020 and 2021.
Their fandom is ARMY. This BTS Heardle mode turns that deep catalogue into an ear-training game: press play, listen to the first seconds of a track, and pick the right title from four BTS songs. Every round deals ten at random and reveals each answer with album art, so it doubles as a way to rediscover B-sides and older title tracks.
