About DAY6
DAY6 debuted on September 7, 2015 under JYP Entertainment with the EP "The Day". They stand apart from most K-pop acts as a self-writing band who play their own instruments: Sungjin (vocals, guitar), Young K (bass, vocals), Wonpil (keyboards, vocals) and Dowoon (drums). Founding member Jae was part of the group until the end of 2021, and the band has continued as a four-piece since. Their full run is what DAY6 Heardle draws on.
Their sound is guitar-driven pop-rock, and the members are closely involved in writing and producing their own material. In 2017 they took on the ambitious "Every DAY6" project, releasing two new songs every month across the whole year — an unusual pace that built out much of the early DAY6 Heardle pool.
DAY6 earned their first music-show win in 2019 with "Time of Our Life", but their biggest surge came in 2024: "Welcome to the Show" topped domestic charts, and later that year "Melt Down" gave the band its first-ever number one on the Melon chart, nearly nine years after debut. They took their first daesang (grand prize) at the end of 2024. All of those singles surface constantly in DAY6 Heardle rounds.
The "Every DAY6" project left a mark on the catalogue that still shapes a DAY6 Heardle round today. Releasing two songs a month across 2017 added twenty-five tracks in a single year, spanning hard rock, upbeat singalongs and mellow ballads — a spread wide enough that two DAY6 songs from the same twelve months can sound almost unrelated. Much of what a listener thinks of as deep-cut DAY6 comes from that run.
The band also runs a sub-unit. Even of Day, announced in August 2020, is Young K, Wonpil and Dowoon, and debuted that month with the EP "The Book of Us: Gluon" while the full band was inactive. All four members write, compose and produce, which is unusual enough in K-pop that it changes how the songs are built: arrangements are shaped around what a four-piece can actually play live.
DAY6 then went through an enforced pause. The members completed South Korea's mandatory military service in sequence between 2021 and 2023 — Sungjin discharged in September 2022, Young K in April 2023, Dowoon in July 2023 and Wonpil in November 2023 — which is why the band's activity thins out sharply in the middle of that stretch before the 2024 resurgence — a gap you can spot in DAY6 Heardle answers too.
Their fandom is called My Day. This DAY6 Heardle mode leans into that live-band sound: press play, hear the opening of a track, and choose the right title from four DAY6 songs. Rounds deal ten at random and reveal each answer with album art — a good way to tell the anthemic singles apart from the deeper "The Book of Us" cuts.

DAY6 Heardle FAQ
Quick answers on how DAY6 Heardle works — the song pool, the rules and your stats.
When did DAY6 debut and who are the members?
DAY6 debuted on September 7, 2015 under JYP Entertainment. The members are Sungjin, Young K, Wonpil and Dowoon; founding member Jae left the group at the end of 2021.
Are DAY6 a real band?
Yes. DAY6 play their own instruments — guitar, bass, keyboards and drums — and are heavily involved in writing, composing and producing their own songs, which sets them apart from most K-pop groups. It also gives DAY6 Heardle a distinct live-band texture.
How did DAY6's debut EP perform?
"The Day", released on September 7, 2015, reached number two on Billboard's World Albums chart the week after it came out — a strong showing for a rock band debuting through an agency far better known for idol groups, and an early sign that the band's audience reached well beyond Korea.
What was the Every DAY6 project?
Through 2017 DAY6 released two new songs every month, adding twenty-five tracks to their discography in a single year. The genres ranged from hard rock to upbeat singalongs to ballads, so it accounts for a large and unusually varied slice of their early catalogue.
What is Even of Day?
Even of Day is DAY6's sub-unit, announced in August 2020 and made up of Young K, Wonpil and Dowoon. It debuted on August 31 that year with the EP "The Book of Us: Gluon". Its songs are credited to Even of Day rather than to DAY6, so they are a separate catalogue from the one DAY6 Heardle draws on.
Why was there a gap in DAY6 releases?
The members completed South Korea's mandatory military service one after another between 2021 and 2023 — Sungjin was discharged in September 2022, Young K in April 2023, Dowoon in July 2023 and Wonpil in November 2023. Full-band activity resumed afterwards, leading into their 2024 run.
What is DAY6's fandom called?
Their fandom is called My Day.
What is DAY6's most famous song?
"You Were Beautiful" (2017) and "Time of Our Life" (2019) are long-standing favourites, and "Zombie" (2020) is one of their most-streamed songs. In 2024 "Welcome to the Show" brought a major chart resurgence.
How many songs are in this DAY6 Heardle?
The DAY6 Heardle pool holds every DAY6 track that has a preview on Apple Music, spanning their EPs, the "The Book of Us" series and full albums. Each round is ten random songs. Tracks credited to the sub-unit Even of Day are a separate catalogue and are not included, so every clip here is a full-band DAY6 release.
What makes DAY6 Heardle tricky?
Because DAY6 are a band, their songs share a recognisable guitar-and-drums texture, so the first seconds can sound alike across different tracks. Listen past the intro for the vocal melody and the hook, and replay the clip if you need to.
Does DAY6 Heardle affect my daily streak?
No — artist unlimited mode runs on a separate tally and never touches your daily streak or stats.
